Some time ago I happened this error every time I tried to start the cisco vpn client:
Cisco VPN Client “ERROR 56: THE CISCO SYSTEMS, INC. VPN SERVICE HAS NOT BEEN STARTED”
I had not made any particular changes to the pc networking, I had not added other vpn client, I had not changed anything about the virtual networking (I have vmware workstation on board) in short, I haven't do nothing.
Trying to remember what possible changes I had made in recent days it came to my mind that I had enabled the sharing of connectivity on the network interface to be able to navigate to another device a couple of days before the error occurred (do you remember that option in the properties of the network card?). I then tried to disable it and voila! The cisco vpn client started to work again….. WELL!!!!
This is the option I mentioned:
VPN client cannot work normally and there is message tell error 56
VPN service hasnnot been started
